The newly developed Unipolar Micro Planar Magnetic Driver featured in LUNA, named Katabiki(片響), was developed in cooperation with MADOO.
Inspired by dynamic drivers, this driver adopts a unique unipolar magnetic circuit and is designed with a strong focus on resonance characteristics. The diaphragm housing is precisely CNC-machined from aluminum, ensuring high rigidity of the driver body. It utilizes an ultra-thin, lightweight film with a printed aluminum pattern, dramatically reducing the diaphragm’s weight. The magnetic circuit uses a powerful single magnet and a dual ring-shaped yoke to achieve excellent magnetic flux control. These elements allow Katabiki (片響) to deliver outstanding response speed, exceptional resolution, and natural resonance characteristics, faithfully reproducing even the most delicate details of music.
