Description
The One above All
The crown first rests upon a composed ruler.
With each passing season, his reign earns
ever greater distinction.
His authority reaches beyond the furthest frontier.
His legacy endures beyond the measure of time.
At the zenith of his reign, imperial robes unfold.
Molten gold follows his stride.
The sceptre settles with certainty in his grasp.
The Emperor reveals his highest form:
SOVEREIGN – The One Above All.
EFFECT AUDIO and qdc unite to create SOVEREIGN—an ultra-flagship IEM born from an award-winning acoustic lineage and elevated through newly developed tuning, custom internal wiring and the exclusively created IMPERIAL SCEPTRE cable.
SOVEREIGN builds upon the foundation of qdc EMPEROR—recipient of three consecutive VGP Gold Awards from 2024 to 2026, alongside the 2024 EHA HiFi Audio Gold Award and Technology Innovation Award.
Following GMA FE in 2025, SOVEREIGN marks EFFECT AUDIO’s next flagship IEM
collaboration.
THE SOVEREIGN SOUND
Fifteen drivers reside within each earpiece: one dynamic driver, ten balanced armatures and four electrostatic drivers.
A five-way crossover works with qdc’s V14 Multi-Tube filtering and Dmagic acoustic structure, directing the full frequency range with exacting control.
For SOVEREIGN, the low frequencies gain deeper authority and firmer definition. Vocals carry greater intimacy and warmth, while the upper range remains open and finely resolved.
Its authority is heard not in excess, but in the effortless command of every register.
IMPERIAL SCEPTRE
An Emblem of Command
Created exclusively for SOVEREIGN, IMPERIAL SCEPTRE draws upon 17 years of EFFECT AUDIO experience in conductor materials and geometry.
Built around SOVEREIGN’s highly resolving reference character, the cable introduces greater tonal density and musical flow. UP-OCC Platinum Silver Alloy—the Ultra-Flagship material introduced with CENTURION II—works with Pure Silver to preserve speed and definition. Palladium-Plated Silver strengthens the low-frequency path, while Silver-Copper Alloy, Silver-Plated Copper and Pure Copper give vocals and the lower registers greater substance.
Carrying forward the sceptre-inspired design of GMA FE, the splitter is reimagined in a bespoke gold finish created exclusively for SOVEREIGN.
THE GOLDEN REGALIA
The faceplate evokes the imperial robes worn at the height of a reign.
Dense folds of gold overlap like intricately worked brocade, with copper and ember tones emerging beneath each layer.
Enclosed by a polished golden frame, its splendour carries the composure of absolute rank.
